Today, on the 17th June, Our sec 3 cadets went to Ang Mo Kio Land Division for a visit. It was quite dissapointing as we expect the officers would bring us around the division. Instead they brought us to an auditorium to have a lectures about the common crimes that happen in the neighbourhood such as Outrage of Modesty, Bullying, Shop Theft/Theft and Scams. Eventhough it is all lectures, we did not expect it to be fun and interesting as the officer that gave the lectures share with us his experience and also videos which increase our level of knowledge.

Besides that, the police officer showed us the gadgets that a police should carry everytime with them. Like for example, T-Baton which helps them in alot of ways as to block the offender if they are about to attack them and it also acts as a weapon to hit the offender. There is also a Revolver. It is a type of gun. This revolver is very different than those that we usually used. There is a laser that runs on battery attached to the revolver which could actually be useful for the officers to aim better.
Last but not least, the handcuff. The handcuff looks light for it's appearance but the fact is, it is quite heavy.

Overall, The visit is fun, interesting and knowledgeable. The best part is that we all had a goodie bag. Look how happy we are (:
