A warm welcome to all secondary 1s.
The National Police Cadet Corp is definitely not just a CCA, but most importantly, it is a uniform group. We emphasise a lot on discipline and responsibility.
We do not hope that cadets would drop out halfway just because that they cannot take the hardship. There is a saying that "As going gets tougher, tougher gets going". We are certain that those who made it through their 4 years with us are people who are the best of the best.
In NPCC, we have events like parades whereby cadets will be able to interact and participate with other schools' cadets and/or among the other Uniform Group in the school. They will also get the chance to visit the police unit; for example- K9 Dog unit, Home Team Academy.
Besides having drills to build on their discipline, teamwork and communication skills. We also have campcraft to teach cadets survival skills and camps which encourage the cadet to step out of their comfort zone and let challenges mould their charter. To motivate cadets to work harder, badges are introduced. We will be having some community service to contribute to the society, for the past 2 years, our cadet have went to places such as Thailand and Vietnam for their community service programme.
NPCC cadets will learn to respect others and life skills such as leadership which they could be apply when they move on to the society. For the guys, if you join NPCC now, there will high chances for you to be in the police force when you are due for NS. Joining NPCC will be the best way to prepare yourself for NS, as you will get the first hand experience on what is it about.
There will be courses for NPCC cadets. For instance;
- Police Knowledge. (Learning Singapore's Law)
- SANA (Singapore Anti Drugs Association)
- Home Front Security. (Singapore's Security)
- First Aid.
- Campcraft.
- Kayaking.
- Marksman. (Live Firing .22 Revolver)
- Adventure Training Camp. (Camping at Pulau Ubin NPCC Campsite)
and lots more!
